Clause 30

Repeal

(1)

The Radiation Protection Act [Cap. 262] (referred to in this section as the repealed Act) is repealed.

(2)

Where an application made under the repealed Act for the grant or renewal of a licence is still pending on the date of commencement of this Act, it shall be deemed to have been made under a corresponding provision of this Act.

(3)

A licence granted under the repealed Act which is in force on the date of commencement of this Act shall be deemed to be a licence granted under a corresponding provision of this Act.

(4)

Any approval or consent granted or given by the Director under section 17, 18 or 20 of the repealed Act shall be deemed to be an approval or a consent granted or given by the Director under a corresponding provision of this Act.

(5)

Where an appeal has been made to the Minister under section 21 of the repealed Act and the appeal has not been dealt with or disposed of immediately prior to the date of commencement of this Act, it may be dealt with in accordance with that section as if this Act had not been enacted.
