Amendment of section 27A

Section 27A of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “3 candidates” in subsections (2) and (3) and substituting in each case the words “3 or 4 candidates as designated for that constituency by the President under section 8A(1)(a)”; and

(b)

by deleting the words “the 3 candidates” in subsection (4)(a) and (b) and substituting in each case the words “the candidates”.
