Clause 6

Section 26 of the principal Act is amended by inserting, immediately after subsection (1), the following subsection:“(1A) Notwithstanding anything in subsection (1), any solicitor who has held office as a judge of the Supreme Court for a period of 3 years or more shall on application be issued a practising certificate enabling him to practise as a solicitor, but without the right of audience in any court of justice in Singapore.”.
