Amendment of section 52

Section 52 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after “20” in the third line of subsection (1), the words “(except 20(1)(b))”;

(b)

by deleting “32” in subsection (1) and substituting “32(1)”;

(c)

by deleting “$10,000” at the end of subsection (1) and substituting the words “the Magistrate’s Court limit”; and

(d)

by inserting, immediately after subsection (2), the following subsection:“(3) The President may, after consulting the Chief Justice, by order vary the Magistrate’s Court limit.”.
