Clause 4

The Moneylenders Act is amended by inserting, immediately after section 35, the following section:“Jurisdiction of courts35A. A Magistrate’s Court or a District Court shall have jurisdiction to hear and determine all offences under this Act and shall, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Criminal Procedure Code [Cap. 68], have power to impose the full penalty or punishment in respect of any offence under this Act.”.
