Clause 5

Section 16 of the principal Act is amended by inserting, immediately after subsection (6), the following subsection:“(7) Subsection (1) shall cease to have effect from 1st January 1995, and no Hong Kong practitioner shall be admitted as an advocate and solicitor under that subsection unless he has filed his petition for admission before that date.”.
