Clause 34

Qualifications for appointment as trustee

No person shall be appointed as a trustee in bankruptcy unless he satisfies the court that —

(a)

he is —

(i)

registered as a public accountant under the Accountants Act [Cap. 2A];

(ii)

an advocate and solicitor; or

(iii)

such person as the Minister may, by order published in the Gazette, prescribe; and

(b)

he has not been convicted of an offence involving fraud or dishonesty punishable on conviction by imprisonment for 3 months or more,and he has consented in writing to being appointed as a trustee.
