Clause 7
Amendment of Article 22L
Article 22L of the Constitution is amended —
(a)
by deleting the word “or” at the end of clause (1)(c);
(b)
by deleting the full-stop at the end of paragraph (d) of clause (1) and substituting the word “; or”, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:“(e)if upon the expiration of the term of office of the incumbent the person declared elected as President fails to assume the office of President.”; and
(c)
by deleting clause (2).
