Amendment of section 62
Section 62 of the Factories Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting subsection (1) and substituting the following subsection:“(1) Where, in any factory, workers are employed in any process involving exposure to wet conditions or to excessive heat or noise or to extreme cold or to any toxic or offensive substance, suitable protective clothing and appliances, including where necessary suitable gloves, footwear, goggles, hearing protectors, head coverings and respirators, shall be provided and maintained for the use of such workers.”; and
(b)
by deleting the word “regularly” in subsection (4).
