Amendment of section 102
Section 102(1) of the Factories Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting paragraph (a) and substituting the following paragraph:“(a)the lighting, ventilation, temperature, humidity, noise and hygiene in factories, the fixing of standards therefor, and the means, if any, required for removing impurities from the air in workrooms and for reducing excessive heat and noise;”; and
(b)
by inserting, immediately after paragraph (b), the following paragraph:“(ba)the use, control and safeguarding of any dangerous machinery or equipment;”.
