Clause 9

Section 21 of the Factories Act is amended by deleting subsection (3) and substituting the following subsection:“(3) Every machine driven by mechanical power shall be provided with an efficient starting and stopping device or appliance which shall be properly maintained and the control of which shall be in such a position as to be readily and conveniently operated by the person operating the machine.”.
