Clause 111

Master or seaman may claim discharge if ship is unsafe

If a ship is an unsafe ship, the master or seaman belonging to the ship shall not be deemed to have committed a breach of his agreement by reason of his having refused to sail in the ship while it is unsafe; and any master or seaman so refusing may claim his discharge unless the ship is made safe within a reasonable time.
