Clause 7

Procedure for cancellation, etc., of certificate, licence or permit

(1)

Cancellation, suspension or variation of the condition of any certificate, licence or permit, issued by virtue of any regulations made under section 3, may be effected by endorsement thereof on the certificate, licence or permit, or by service of a written notice of the cancellation, suspension or variation on the holder of the certificate, licence or permit.

(2)

If any such certificate, licence or permit is cancelled or suspended, the holder thereof shall, unless it has otherwise been lawfully disposed of, surrender it forthwith to the officer of the Board who cancelled or suspended it.

(3)

Subsection (2) shall not apply to a certificate, licence or permit issued by an electronic notice transmitted in accordance with section 8.

(4)

Any person who fails to comply with subsection (2) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $3,000.
