Amendment of section 33

Section 33 of the Land Acquisition Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting sub-paragraph (i) of subsection (1)(a) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:“(i)(A)as at 1st January 1986 in respect of land acquired on or after 30th November 1987 but before 18th January 1993;

(B)

as at 1st January 1992 in respect of land acquired on or after 18th January 1993 but before 27th September 1995; and

(C)

as at 1st January 1995 in respect of land acquired on or after 27th September 1995;”; and

(b)

by deleting paragraph (b) of subsection (3) and substituting the following paragraph:“(b)the market value of the land —

(i)

as at 1st January 1986 in respect of land acquired on or after 30th November 1987 but before 18th January 1993;

(ii)

as at 1st January 1992 in respect of land acquired on or after 18th January 1993 but before 27th September 1995; and

(iii)

as at 1st January 1995 in respect of land acquired on or after 27th September 1995,”.
