Amendment of section 42

Section 42 of the Employment Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “ordinary rate” wherever they appear in subsection (1) and substituting in each case the words “gross rate”;

(b)

by deleting the words “ordinary rate” in the fifth line of subsection (4) and substituting the words “basic rate”;

(c)

by deleting the words “ordinary rate” in the sixth line of subsection (4) and substituting the words “gross rate”; and

(d)

by deleting the words “ordinary rate” in subsection (6) and substituting the words “gross or basic rate”.
