Amendment of section 43
Section 43 of the Employment Act is amended —
(a)
by inserting, immediately after the words “An employee” in the first line of subsection (1), the words “who has served an employer for a period of not less than 3 months”;
(b)
by inserting, immediately after the words “An employee” in the first line of subsection (2), the words “who has served an employer for a period of not less than 3 months but”; and
(c)
by deleting the words “ordinary rate” wherever they appear in subsection (7) and substituting in each case the words “gross rate”.
