Clause 35
Prohibition of registration in certain cases
Notwithstanding anything in any written law, no registering authority shall —
(a)
register any company, firm or other body of persons which bears any name; or
(b)
register a trade mark or design which bears any name or mark,if the use of the name or mark is in contravention of section 32(1) or (2), or if the name or mark contains or consists of the words “Singapore Standard” or the expression “SISIR” or “SISIR Mark” or the name of the Board in any form, or if the name or mark so nearly resembles any of the same as to deceive or be likely to deceive the public.
