Clause 6

Section 9 of the principal Act is amended by inserting, immediately after subsection (3), the following subsection:“(4) A person to whom a pension may be granted under this section may, at his option, be paid in lieu of that pension a commuted pension gratuity which shall be ascertained by multiplying the prescribed commutation factor by the amount of such pension that may be granted to him in accordance with this section.”.
