Clause 38

Composition of offences

(1)

Any police officer not below the rank of sergeant or any employee of the Board authorised in that behalf by the Chief Executive may in his discretion compound any such offence under this Act or any regulations made thereunder as may be prescribed as being an offence which may be compounded by collecting from the person reasonably suspected of having committed the offence a sum not exceeding $1,000.

(2)

The Board may, with the approval of the Minister, make regulations prescribing the offences which may be compounded.

(3)

All sums collected under this section shall be paid to the Board.
