Clause 20

Section 119 of the Women’s Charter is amended by inserting, immediately after subsection (2), the following subsection:“(3) A court before which any proceedings under this section is heard may give consideration to the possibility of a harmonious resolution of the matter and for this purpose may, at any stage in the proceedings, refer the parties for mediation or to attend counselling provided by such body as the Minister may approve or as the court may direct.”.
