New section 50A
The Housing and Development Act is amended by inserting, immediately after section 50, the following section:“Purchase of flats, houses and other living accommodation by bodies corporate50A.—
(1)
Notwithstanding section 47, the Minister may, by order published in the Gazette, declare any body corporate established by any written law to be entitled to purchase any flat, house or other living accommodation sold subject to the provisions of this Part.(2) Where an order is made under subsection (1) in relation to any body corporate, the provisions of this Part shall apply with such modifications as may be specified in the order.”.
