by inserting, immediately after the word “plant” at the end of subsection (1), the words “or such other activity as may be prescribed by regulations”; and

by inserting, immediately after subsection (2), the following subsection:“(2A) Subsection (2) shall apply, with the necessary modifications, in determining the income of a leasing company from any activity prescribed by regulations made under subsection (1) as if such income were income from offshore operating leasing.”.
