Amendment of section 46
Section 46(2) of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting the words “agricultural officers” in paragraph (a) and substituting the words “authorised officers”;
(b)
by inserting, immediately after the word “import” in paragraph (c), the words “or transhipment”; and
(c)
by inserting, immediately after paragraph (c), the following paragraphs:“(ca)providing for matters relating to the taking of samples of fresh fruits and vegetables under section 37 for analysis, and for matters relating to such analysis;
(cb)prescribing the qualifications and practical experience of an authorised analyst;
(cc)
prescribing the sanitary standards referred to in section 7(1)(d);”.
