Amendment of section 34

Section 34 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting “$30,000” in subsection (2)(a) and substituting the words “$250,000 or such other amount as may be specified by an order made under subsection (3)”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after subsection (2), the following subsection:“(3) The President may, after consulting the Chief Justice, by order published in the Gazette vary the amount mentioned in subsection (2)(a).”.
