Amendment of section 23
Section 23(8) of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting “$10,000” in the 4th line and substituting “$50,000”; and
(b)
by inserting, immediately after the word “both” at the end thereof, the words “and, in the case of a second or subsequent conviction, to a fine not exceeding $100,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both”.
