Clause 59
Exemption in respect of persons in public service and prescribed companies or organisations
(1)
Nothing in this Act prevents —
the carrying out of any act which comes within the practice of dentistry by a person in the public service if the act is carried out —
in the course of the person’s duties in the public service; and
under the supervision of a registered dentist whose name appears in the first division of the register; or
the carrying out of any act which comes within the practice of dentistry by a person employed by a company or other organisation prescribed under subsection (2) if the act is carried out —
in the course of the person’s employment in such company or organisation; and
under the supervision of a registered dentist whose name appears in the first division of the register.
(2)
The Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, prescribe companies and organisations for the purposes of subsection (1).
