Clause 5

The principal Act is amended by inserting, immediately after section 5, the following sections:“Protection from personal liability5A. No suit or legal proceedings shall lie personally against any member, officer or employee of the Council or other person acting under the direction of the Council for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in the execution or purported execution of this Act.Public servants5B. Every member, officer and employee of the Council shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of the Penal Code (Cap. 224).”.
