Clause 17

Amendment of section 136

Section 136 of the Copyright Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “article specifically designed or adapted for making copies of a work or other subject-matter which has been used or is to be used for making infringing copies of the work or subject-matter” in the 5th to 8th lines of subsection (8) and substituting the words “article which has been predominantly used for making infringing copies”;

(b)

by deleting the word “Magistrate” in the 1st and in the 5th lines of subsection (9) and substituting in each case the word “court”; and

(c)

by deleting the word “he” in the 6th line of subsection (9) and substituting the words “the court”.
