Amendment of section 39

Section 39 of the Copyright Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after the words “computer program” in the 2nd line of subsection (3), the words “or of a compilation within the meaning of section 7A in an electronic form”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after the words “computer program” in the 4th and in the 6th lines of subsection (3), the words “or compilation”;

(c)

by deleting subsection (5) and substituting the following subsection:“(5) For the purposes of this section, a reference to a copy of a computer program or compilation or of an adaptation of a computer program or compilation is a reference to any article in which the computer program, compilation or adaptation is reproduced in a material form.”; and

(d)

by inserting, immediately after the word “program” at the end of the marginal note, the word “, etc”.
