Amendment of section 118
Section 118(1) of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting the word “stockbrokers” in the 2nd and 7th lines of paragraph (i) and substituting in each case the words “member companies of a securities exchange”;
(b)
by deleting the words “and stockbrokers” in paragraph (j); and
(c)
by deleting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (k), and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:“(ka)the prohibition or regulation of dealing in securities in circumstances where the person who deals in the securities does not hold or have an interest in the securities which are being or are proposed to be dealt with; and”.
