New section 27A
The Factories Act is amended by inserting, immediately after section 27, the following section:“Safety training courses27A.—
(1)
The occupier of a factory shall ensure that every person employed in the factory who is of a class or description specified under subsection (2) attends such safety training courses as the Chief Inspector may specify under that subsection in respect of such persons.(2) The Chief Inspector may, by order published in the Gazette, specify the classes or description of persons to which this section applies and the safety training courses that he considers necessary for such persons.”.
