Appointment of Chief Executive
(1)
The Agency shall, with the approval of the Minister, appoint a Chief Executive of the Agency on such terms and conditions as the Agency may determine.
(2)
The Chief Executive shall —
be known by such designation as the Agency may determine;
be responsible to the Agency for the proper administration and management of the functions and affairs of the Agency in accordance with the policy laid down by the Agency; and
not be removed from office without the consent of the Minister.
(3)
If the Chief Executive is unable to perform his duties for any period, by reason of absence from Singapore, illness or for any other reason, another person may be appointed by the Agency to act in the place of the Chief Executive during such period.
