Clause 14

Consequential amendments

(1)

The Arms and Explosives Act (Cap. 13) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the definition of “licensed auctioneer” in section 2(1);

(b)

by deleting the words “or to a licensed auctioneer” in the 4th and 5th lines of section 13(1); and

(c)

by deleting section 13(2).

(2)

The Third Schedule to the Central Provident Fund Act (Cap. 36) is amended by deleting item 3 and substituting the following item:“3. Appraisers and House Agents Act (Cap. 16).”.

(3)

The Third Schedule to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore Act (Cap. 138A) is amended by deleting item 1 and substituting the following item:“1. Appraisers and House Agents Act (Cap. 16).”.

(4)

Part V of the First Schedule to the Trustees Act (Cap. 337) is amended by deleting the words “Auctioneer Licences Act” in paragraph 2(a) and substituting the words “Appraisers and House Agents Act”.

(5)

Any reference in any other written law to the Auctioneers’ Licences Act shall be read as a reference to the Appraisers and House Agents Act.
