Clause 6

The Mental Disorders and Treatment Act (Cap. 178, 1985 Ed.) is amended by deleting the definition of “medical officer” in section 2 and substituting the following definition:“ “medical officer” means a registered medical practitioner in the service of the Government and includes a registered medical practitioner who is employed in any hospital or medical institution and who is designated by name or office by the Director of Medical Services in writing for the purposes of this Act;”.
