Clause 25

Amendment of section 58

Section 58(2) of the Accountants Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after the words “public accountants” in paragraph (g), the words “and accounting corporations”;

(b)

by deleting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (h);

(c)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (h), the following paragraphs:“(i)for restrictions to be imposed on persons or classes of persons who may become officers of an accounting corporation;

(j)

for the payment of fees on applications made under Part IIIA or any rules made under this Act and for related matters; (k)exempting any persons or classes of persons from any provision of Part III or IIIA;

(l)

prescribing anything which may be prescribed under Part IIIA; and”; and

(d)

by re-lettering the existing paragraph (i) as paragraph (m).
