Clause 44

Regulations

(1)

The Minister may make such regulations as are necessary or expedient to give full effect to or for carrying out the provisions of this Act.

(2)

Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1), regulations may be made —

(a)

to prescribe anything that is required or permitted to be prescribed under this Act; and

(b)

to provide that any person who contravenes the regulations shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment not exceeding 12 months or to both.
