Amendment of section 53
Section 53 of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting the words “In the case of a registered trade union which was established before the commencement of this Act, it shall be lawful for the Registrar,” in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd lines of subsection (3) and substituting the words “The Registrar may,”;
(b)
by deleting “$200” in the last line of subsection (5) and substituting “$2,000”; and
(c)
by deleting “$200” in the 6th line of subsection (6) and substituting “$2,000”.
