Amendment of section 48A

Section 48A of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after the words “polling station or stations” in subsection (1)(a), the words “in Singapore”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after subsection (1), the following subsection: “(1A) The votes cast at all overseas polling stations shall be counted at such place or places in Singapore as the Returning Officer directs.”; and (c)by inserting, immediately after the words “subsection (1)” in subsection (2), the words “or (1A)”.
