Clause 290

The Authority may, from time to time, inspect the books of an approved trustee.

For the purpose of an inspection under this section, the approved trustee under inspection shall afford the Authority access to, and shall produce, its books and shall give such information and facilities as may be required to conduct the inspection.

The Authority shall have the power to copy or take possession of the books of an approved trustee under inspection.

An approved trustee which fails, without reasonable excuse, to produce any book or furnish any information or facilities in accordance with subsection (2), or otherwise obstructs the Authority in the exercise of its powers under this section, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $50,000.
