Proceedings with consent of Attorney-General and power to compound offences
(1)
Proceedings for an offence against any provisions of Part XII may be taken only with the consent of the Attorney-General.
(2)
The Authority may, in its discretion, compound any offence under this Act which is prescribed as a compoundable offence by collecting from a person reasonably suspected of having committed the offence a sum of money not exceeding the maximum fine prescribed for that offence.
