Clause 19

by deleting paragraph (a) of subsection (1) and substituting the following paragraph:“(a)a chairman from a panel appointed by the Chief Justice, being retired Judges or persons who have had not less than 12 years’ standing as advocates and solicitors;”; and

by inserting, immediately after subsection (7), the following subsection:“(7A) Any question arising at any meeting of a Disciplinary Committee shall be determined by a majority of votes of the members of the Committee, and in the case of an equality of votes, the chairman of the Committee shall have a second or casting vote.”.
