Amendment of section 136

Section 136 of the Companies Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “memorandum of satisfaction” in the 10th line of subsection (1) and substituting the words “statement of satisfaction”;

(b)

by deleting the word “memorandum” in the last line of subsection (1) and substituting the word “statement”; (c)by deleting the word “memorandum” in the 1st line of subsection (2) and substituting the word “statement”; and

(d)

by deleting the words “that statement” in the penultimate line of subsection (2) and substituting the words “the second-mentioned statement”.
