Amendment of section 317

Section 317 of the Companies Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “the Registrar and” in the 6th line of subsection (1); and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after subsection (1), the following subsection:“(1A) The liquidator referred to in subsection (1) shall also lodge with the Registrar a notice in the prescribed form of the matters referred to in that subsection and, if he fails to do so, he shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $1,000 and also to a default penalty.”.
