Amendment of section 42

Section 42 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after the word “appoint” in the 1st line of subsection (1), the words “, from among members of the Complaints Panel,”;

(b)

by deleting paragraph (b) of subsection (1) and substituting the following paragraph:“(b)one observer who is a lay person,”; and

(c)

by inserting, immediately after the words “Medical Council” in the 2nd line of subsection (11), the words “or Complaints Panel”.
