Amendment of section 83
Section 83(5) of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting the words “or a person” in paragraph (a) of the definition of “officer” and substituting the words “and includes a person”; and
(b)
by deleting the words “and members of the committee of the association and includes persons holding positions analogous to those of president, secretary or member of a committee” in paragraph (b) of the definition of “officer” and substituting the words “, or a member of the committee of the association or a person holding a position analogous to that of president, secretary or member of a committee, and includes a person purporting to act in any such capacity”.
