Amendment of section 153
Section 153 of the Companies Act is amended by deleting subsection (6) and substituting the following subsection:“(6) Notwithstanding anything in this section, a person of or over the age of 70 years may, by an ordinary resolution passed at an annual general meeting of a company —
(a)
be appointed or re-appointed as a director of the company to hold office; or
(b)
be authorised to continue in office as a director of the company,until the next annual general meeting of the company.”.
