Clause 69
Appointments, promotions and dismissals
(1)
A special police officer not below the rank of assistant superintendent shall be appointed and promoted and may be reduced in rank or grade or dismissed or discharged by the Minister.
(2)
A special police officer of or below the rank of inspector shall be appointed and promoted and may be reduced in rank or grade or dismissed or discharged by the Commissioner or the Deputy Commissioner.
(3)
No person who has been called up for national service in the Special Constabulary shall be discharged or dismissed under subsection (1) or (2) except with the prior approval of the proper authority appointed under the Enlistment Act (Cap. 93).
