Amendment of section 33

Section 33 of the Companies Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after the words “the objects of the company” in subsection (1) , the words “, if any”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after subsection (10), the following subsection:“(11) For the avoidance of doubt, a reference in this section to the alteration of any provision of the memorandum of a company or the alteration of the objects of a company includes the removal of that provision or of all or any of those objects.”.
