Repeal and re-enactment of section 19
Section 19 of the principal Act is repealed and the following section substituted therefor:“Composition of offences19.—
(1)
The Minister or any person authorised by him may, in his discretion, compound any offence under section 16 or 18 or any regulations made under section 20 by collecting from the person reasonably suspected of having committed the offence a sum not exceeding $5,000.(2) The Commissioner for Labour may, in his discretion, compound any offence under section 17 by collecting from the person reasonably suspected of having committed the offence a sum not exceeding $500.”.
