Clause 35

Amendment of section 213

Section 213 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph (a) and substituting the following sub-paragraphs:“(i)securities of any corporation, whether formed or carrying on business in Singapore or elsewhere;

(ia)securities of any business trust;”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph (b), the following sub-paragraph:“(ia)securities of a business trust, the trustee of which is formed in Singapore or carries on business on behalf of the business trust in Singapore;”.
